RALLYING VOLUNTEERS TO TEND THE FARM AT HUI MAHI’AI ‘AINA

Aunty Blanche’s determination to feed the homeless and others in need brought the Hui Mahi’ai ‘Ä€ina farm to life. But to see her full vision come to reality would require many hands, so rallying the volunteers and partners to move the farm forward presented as a powerful opportunity to unite for outreach.

SERVING ON SECOND SATURDAYS

Working in partnership with Kalo TV, the Molina Family brought together dozens of groups and individuals from across the island of O’ahu to get their hands dirty in service to the mission of pursuing food security and for the residents of Hui Mahi’ai as well as the broader Waimanalo community. The Second Saturday program helped mobilize a collective front of ministries and others, many of whom have continued to support Aunty Blanche ongoingly.

AN ORGANIZATION TO MEET THE NEEDS

The experience of supporting Hui Mahi’ai would become foundational to the establishment of Inside Outreach, our desire to expand our potential to equip and empower community leaders such as Aunty Blanche matched with a passion to unite the church and broader community for outreach projects across the islands. Mahalo to all our volunteers who joined us for Second Saturdays and to everyone who has played a part in making Hui Mahi’ai ‘Ä€ina such a beacon of light and hope.
